Enroll a User

Overview
While Blackboard automatically enrolls students who are registered for your course into your Blackboard site ten days prior to the start of the semester, there can sometimes be reason to manually enroll someone such as a TA or colleague. In addition to the quick reference below, you can also view a short video tutorial for Adding a Blackboard User.

Enroll a user via the Blackboard Control Panel:

  1. Go to the course in which you wish to add the user.
  2. Select Control Panel in the course menu on the left.
  3. Under User Management select Enroll User.
  4. Search for the user you need to add by last name, user name, or email. The easiest method is user name. This is the name they use to log in to campus.fsu.edu.
  5. Select the box to the left of the name of the user you wish to add.
  6. Set the user's role in the course to the right. Be aware that roles other than Student or Guest will provide the user with some Control Panel access.
  7. Select Submit.
  8. Select Ok.
