Add an Announcement

Overview
Announcements are a quick and easy way to communicate with your students using Blackboard. You can even create announcements that will automatically email your students.

Add an announcement using the Blackboard Control Panel:

  1. Go to the course in which you wish to have the announcement.
  2. Select Control Panel in the course menu on the left.
  3. SelectAnnouncements found under Course Tools.
  4. Select+ Add Announcement.
  5. Provide a subject for the announcement.
  6. Provide any further information under Message.
  7. Determine whether or not the announcement should be permanent.
  8. Select whether or not to email the announcement to be emailed to all students.
  9. Select Submit.
  10. Select Ok.
