The Florida State University College of Nursing has implemented an innovative program for registered nurses seeking career mobility and additional education. The College of Nursing's RN to BSN program enables the nurse with leadership inclination and skills, clinical competency, a strong commitment to nursing, and academic ability, to earn the bachelor's degree in nursing on a part-time basis.
Currently, the RN to BSN program is available Fully online-anywhere in the state of Florida.
Designed to capitalize on the RN's prior learning and experience, the RN-to-BSN Online Program is designed for the part-time working professional and can be completed in as few as four consecutive semesters (approximately 15 months - based on spring matriculation) or as many as seven consecutive semesters (approximately 27 months). Upon successful completion of a specified course sequence, students may receive up to 30 hours of validated departmental credit that will be awarded in the final semester of enrollment.
The courses offered for this program are Internet-based, while the clinical requirements are satisfied by working with a professional nurse (preceptor) at a Florida healthcare or community facility convenient to you.
Term of Admission
Students are admitted to the RN to BSN program in January. In order to be considered for admission to the online RN to BSN program, students must have a minimum of 60 semester hours of transferable credit (AA degree strongly recommended).
