Instructional Systems Online
Certificate in Human Performance Technology (Instructional Systems program)

This certificate is offered primarily to students who are enrolled in one of the graduate programs that pertain to the specialty areas within HPT. Thus, graduates who earn this certificate will have in-depth knowledge from their majors in one or more of the “solution areas” within HPT in addition to expertise in the broader concept and practices of HPT. The certificate is also offered to persons who have expertise in one of these solution areas as a result of their work history, and to individuals who want to use it as an entry-level achievement in preparation for further formal study or work.

Requirements

    • 15-semester hours (including 2 core course and 3 electives)
    • at least 6 hours must be in Instructional Systems
    • no more than 9 credit hours can be in any one program area
    • all courses must be taken at FSU
    • all courses must be completed within 3 years

  • Tuition and Fees
    • Florida resident: $366.54 per credit hour
    • Non-Florida resident: $997.94 per credit hour
    • Residing in Leon, Gadsden, or Wakulla Counties (non-campus students):
      • Florida resident: $392.71 per credit hour*
      • Non-Florida resident: $1,024.11 per credit hour*
        *Add additional $20.00 per semester for mandatory Student Facilities Use Fee
  • Books
    We estimate the cost of books and course materials for an academic year to be $350.00. Students are responsible for the cost and shipping fees of all books and course materials. Contact your academic coordinator (see below) to learn which bookstore offers course materials for your degree program.
  • Financial Aid

    Six hours or more at FSU
    Students who are taking 6 semester hours or more may be eligible for financial aid. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form is available online on the Office of Financial Aid website. The website also provides financial aid information pertaining to the University.
