Online-learning students who have transferred to FSU without an Associate Arts (AA) degree or with an AA from a non-Florida institution may find it necessary to complete additional courses toward the Liberal Studies requirements. Our Liberal Studies Program is intended to provide you with a broad educational background and a perspective on the qualities, accomplishments, and aspirations of human beings, the past and present civilizations they have created, and the natural and technological world they inhabit. Students are required to complete satisfactorily FSU's Liberal Studies Program, which totals thirty-six (36) semester hours (a minimum adjusted grade point average of 2.0 on all courses used for liberal studies), as follows:
