Mission Statement and Goals

Academic and Professional Program Services supports individuals in obtaining their educational and career objectives primarily through online learning at Florida State University.  We serve as a liaison between students, departments and administrative offices to facilitate FSU procedures and policies for the online and non-traditional student.  We also make academic credit classes, degree and certificate programs, and professional workshops available to local part-time students and, by contract, to outside organizations.

Goals of FSU Online

  • Make FSU award-winning programs and certificates available to prospective audiences.
  • Clarify and streamline the procedures and policies for student admission, registration, and successful class completion.
  • Provide ongoing educational support to students and prospective students through information on the website and the media, referral to appropriate University resources, and personal interaction with Academic Program Support staff.
  • Plan and carry out academic courses and professional workshops designed specifically for teachers, special interest groups, organizations, and agencies in order to fit client needs and interests.
