Effective Lectures and Discussion Classes
This workshop will provide strategies for engaging students in the classroom. Techniques for stimulating and managing discussions and making lectures interactive will be covered. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have developed a plan incorporating learning-centered instructional strategies in the classroom.
Increase Student Performance With Team-Based Learning
Based on Dr. Larry Michaelson’s techniques, this workshop focuses on a collaborative approach that increases student participation and stimulates discussion. As a product of this workshop participants will create a team-based learning unit of instruction to engage students in active learning and critical thinking.
Streamline Your Courses Through Technology
This workshop will help participants organize course materials to make instruction accessible and timely; assignment collection and grading easier; and distribution of materials more efficient. At the end of this workshop, participants will have redesigned a course site to enhance instructional efficiency and effectiveness.
