The Advisory Council for Innovative Instruction is now accepting proposals for the 2006-2007 Innovative Instruction Grants. Instructional development proposals are due no later than January 18, 2007.
Outstanding Teaching Award Nominations
The OTAA program recognizes teaching assistants for their contribution to undergraduate student learning through excellence in instruction. Nominations are due January 26, 2007.

PIE Teaching Certificate
Graduate students and teaching assistants who attended specified sessions of the Fall Teaching Conference can submit a report and be eligible to receive a PIE Teaching Certificate.
PIE Fall Teaching Conference
Intended to supplement departmental Teaching Assistant (TA) training programs, the PIE Fall Teaching Conference focuses on policies and services of the University as they relate to teaching.
Faculty learn new techniques
This summer 48 faculty were funded to explore one of four topics (Teaching Survival Kit, Hybrid Course Design, Assessing Student Learning and Problem-Based Learning) during the APPS: Center for Teaching and Learning summer 2006 faculty development workshops.
