Southwood Computer Lab
The Center for Professional Development now offers state-of-the-art technical training at our new Southwood Computer Lab. Our programs are suitable for both career-changers as well as established professionals who need to upgrade their skills.
Our Technology Training Team consists of professional technical trainers with years of experience both in the field as well as in the classroom. All trainers are dedicated to the success of each individual student. Depending on the program, we may use industry standard courseware (e.g. Microsoft Official Curriculum, Element K), or our curriculum may be designed and developed in-house.
Whether you are planning a successful career change, looking to upgrade specific technical skills, or coordinating customized training for your employees - our technical training staff will be happy to help you make the right choices.
The Southwood Computer Lab is located in the Capital Circle Office Complex.

The Southwood Computer Lab is fully equipped, offering:

at the Capital Circle Office Complex
From the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee
Go south on Monroe Street, immediately past the Fairgrounds, turn left (east) onto Tram Road. Take Tram Road to the traffic light at Capital Circle Southeast; when you reach it, turn left (north). At the next traffic light, turn right (east) onto Shumard Oak Boulevard, then left onto Esplanade Way. The Betty Easley Conference Center will be on your right. There is parking available in the front of the building with additional parking in the back of the building.
From Interstate 10
Take the U.S. Highway 90 exit (Exit 31) West toward downtown Tallahassee, then turn left (south) onto Capital Circle Northeast. Approximately three miles south of the U.S. Highway 27 (Apalachee Parkway) intersection, turn left (east) at the traffic light onto Shumard Oak Boulevard, then left onto Esplanade Way. The Betty Easley Conference Center will be on your right. There is parking available in the front of the building with additional parking in the back of the building.
From the Tallahassee Regional Airport
Turn right onto Capital Circle Southwest. Continue for approximately eight miles, passing Springhill Road, Crawfordville Road, Woodville Highway and Tram Road. Turn right (east) onto Shumard Oak Boulevard, then left onto Esplanade Way. The Betty Easley Conference Center will be on your right. There is parking available in the front of the building with additional parking in the back of the building.
Parking
From Shumard Oak Boulevard, drive past Esplanade Way, then turn left immediately past the Gerald L. Gunter Building (on the left) and park in the area to your right. This parking area is behind the Betty Easley Conference Center and you may enter the Conference Center through the east (back) entrance. The front of the Betty Easley Conference Center faces Esplanade Way and has limited parking available.
