About Florida State University and our Financial Planning Programs

The Florida State University is a comprehensive, graduate-research university with a liberal arts base. Its missions include teaching, research, and public service. As part of our public service mission, we have developed this online "Fundamentals of Financial Planning" Web site for those people who recognize that they have a need to conduct insurance, investments, income tax, retirement and estate planning at a level beyond their current activities.

This site was developed based on our expertise with our Certificate in Financial Planning that we deliver to professional financial planners.

"Fundamentals of Financial Planning" and "Investment Planning (site in progress)" were made possible by a grant from the Foundation for Financial Planning. "Retirement Planning (site in progress)" was made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for Financial Education.
