SAT

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) provides a standardized measure of critical reading, writing, and math reasoning skills. It can tell college admission staff how students compare with other students who have taken the test, and indicate student college readiness.

The total testing time for the SAT is 3 hours and 45 minutes. It is multiple-choice except for the 25-minute written essay and 10 student-produced response math questions, which ask you to fill in or "grid-in" your own answers using a special section of the answer sheet.

To register:
Registration must be completed through the CollegeBoard website but the test is administered at FSU. You can also browse the site for more information about the SAT, more on the Writing, Critical Reading and Math sections of the test, and SAT Subject Tests.
