Course Evaluations

Overview

The University requires instructors (faculty, adjuncts, and graduate assistants) who teach undergraduate or graduate courses with ten or more students in fall and spring terms to administer course evaluations. Currently, the instrument used for student evaluation of courses is the SPOT (Student Perception of Teaching) form. Course evaluations may also be requested for courses with smaller enrollments and for online courses. Online courses do not currently fall under the FSU policy but may be evaluated using the electronic version of the state-mandated SUSSAI (eSUSSAI).
